Yoga On The Rocks: CorePower Yoga’s Ultimate Workout

Written by Molly Donnelly | July 25, 2016

Red Rocks Amphitheatre, located near Denver, Colorado, is rightly known as one of the greatest outdoor live music venues in the world, hosting everyone from the Beatles to U2 to Arcade Fire over the years. Like Carnegie Hall, you haven’t hit the big time ’til you’ve played the Rocks.

But Red Rocks isn’t just about music. Every summer, CorePower Yoga (CPY) hosts Yoga On The Rocks, an exhilarating open-air workout surrounded by Red Rocks’ iconic sandstone monoliths, a panoramic view of Colorado’s Front Range spread out in front of you. Let’s just say that you’ve never done downward dog in a setting this spectacular.

Sound good? Here’s what’s going down this month:

  • Yoga On The Rocks kicks off on Saturday, July 30 with a 60-minute vinyasa practice led by Denver-based yoga teacher Kathryn Smith.
  • On August 6, amplify your power with Heather Peterson, who has been teaching and leading Teacher Trainings for CPY for the last 12 years.
  • Next up on August 13, it’s Earthquakes and Landscapes with Tim Samp, who will help you embrace the always-evolving changes Red Rocks’ stunning scenery.
  • On August 20, join Chelsea Jasin for a soulful and inspiring workout that incorporates the natural beauty of your surroundings with your own inner beauty.

Can’t make it Red Rocks this year? No worries. There are more than 150 CPY studios in North America. Find the one closest to you.
