It’s no secret that airports can be stressful places. But now there’s a solution. Yoga on the Fly® is your ticket to traveling well – and the new brand has just opened its first studio at the Denver International Airport (DEN), with TURNER on board to help spread the word.
Offering yoga and meditation practices designed for the modern traveler, Yoga on the Fly®'s simple and efficient approach focuses on alleviating stress, promoting health and increasing overall wellness.
How does Yoga on the Fly® work? Class options range from eight to 20 minutes and include yoga, meditation and breathwork via instructional iPad videos. These classes (which can be combined for longer sessions), feature guided movement specific to travel-related issues such as poor circulation, muscle aches, anxiety and more. Ensuring a seamless experience for all levels of physical and mental fitness, Yoga on the Fly® supplies Yoga By Numbers® mats, SoundOff TM wireless headphones and an essentials “beauty bar,” all within sanctuary-like private spaces.
The result? A visit to Yoga on the Fly® helps you manage frustration, exhaustion and idle time, guaranteeing tranquility on those occasionally tumultuous travel days. There’s more. Yoga on the Fly®’s retail offering showcases travel and wellness-minded brands including MPG Sport, Blooming Lotus Jewelry, Manduka, Zaq, S'well, Go Dash Dot and more. The Yoga on the Fly® DEN studio will begin with a 90-day residency for the holiday season, open Sundays-Fridays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sessions range in price from $15 to $60 depending on desired studio time.
Yoga on the Fly® was founded by Elizabeth Feinstone and Avery Westlund, who met while teaching yoga on a retreat in Nicaragua and connected over their shared love of travel, as well as their aversion to the unfavorable effects it takes on body and mind. The two began to consider how yoga can be used to not only recuperate from travel, but to prevent the physical and mental discomforts of flight before takeoff.
From there, Yoga on the Fly® was born as a way to revolutionize health and wellness en route by offering guided yoga, meditation and breathwork in serene, private studios at airports around the world. For more information about Yoga on the Fly®, please visit www.yogaonthefly.com.
