Whale Watching Penthouse Bar to Debut on Tip of Baja Peninsula

Forget the big, touristy boats and the binoculars – how about whale watching over the rim of a cocktail glass from a penthouse bar? Located on the tip of the Baja Peninsula and perfectly positioned for prime whale watching, Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos is a newly reflagged resort slated to open March 1, 2012 – fully renovated and complete with a top-floor, full-service whale watching bar. The bar will feature signature whale-themed cocktails inspired by the majestic creatures visible from its oceanfront windows – like The Blowhole (apple brandy, club soda, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar and egg whites) or cocktails inspired by the actually trendy blue curacao (it even inspired a whole panel discussion at the world’s premier cocktail festival), like the Blue Whale (champagne and blue curacao). Featuring 288 rooms and suites overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos is located less than one mile from central Cabo San Lucas. Bordered by a unique combination of desert-mountain landscape, an urban skyline and the cool coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean, the property is a hub for outdoor adventure, nightlife and urban experiences, in addition to its prime location for ‘drinking in’ the wildlife scenery.
