Social media is changing the way we do pretty much everything, including our holiday shopping. This is escalated on the day online shopping has the biggest focus. Cyber Monday. Here is a quick list of ways retailers are using social media to promote their Cyber Monday sales.

Twitter

Along with posting exclusive offers and coupon on codes through branded Twitter accounts, retailers are increasing their visibility by tagging their content with the #CyberMonday hashtag. This offers real-time interaction in a much bigger online conversation.

Facebook

Offer fans exclusive product right on Facebook. This is a great way to reward the existing fans and give new page visitors an incentive to like the page through like-gated content. Retailers can offer a custom-branded experience right on the Facebook page with full shopping cart functionality.

Foursquare

This location-based platform is a great way to spread awareness online as well as drive in-store purchases. In addition to the regularly scheduled Cyber Monday deals, retailers can offer exclusives through check-in specials Foursquare to drive foot traffic.
