Adventure-themed travel is big, too. People want thrills, whether it’s cliff diving, ziplining or big wave surfing. Finally, travelers want to bring along their four-legged friends this spring. Pet friendly destinations are catching on in a major way.
Plush cruises and deluxe beach getaways are spring travel trends that will never go out of style. But increasingly, baby boomers are in search of transformative trips when it comes to luxury travel. In other words, they’re looking for a vacation that will resolve their midlife crises. “I constantly see people wrestling with frustrations that they need to unpack, and they just don’t feel like they have the time,” says Tom Marchant, co-founder of the luxury travel outfit Black Tomato. “There’s nothing wrong with using your travels to recharge on the beach, but they can also be a brilliant vehicle to find those answers to the fundamental questions that we all have.”
