Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood is known the world over as a place where tomorrow’s trends are born, styles are always on point, and tastemakers of all stripes congregate. And now, Williamsburg is finally getting the hotel it deserves.
TURNER is thrilled to be teaming up with The Hoxton, Williamsburg, set to open in 2017.
Since launching in the UK in 2006, the Hoxton hotel brand has been making waves in the hospitality world, offering guests a unique and stylish sleep, eat, work and play experience in London and Europe. The brand isn’t out to develop another chain of hotels – it’s looking to create a series of unique spaces that draw their character from the local, authentic culture of the cities they call home. Now, the brand is bringing its approach to the North American market with The Hoxton, Williamsburg.
The hotel may be new, but its location has deep roots in Williamsburg’s rich history. The site originally housed the Rosenwach factory, known as the maker of the wooden water towers that remain one of the New York City skyline’s signature icons to this day. Hoxton, Williamsburg’s design honors this industrial heritage, while maintaining a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. This is way more than just a place to lay your head for the night – it’s an urban destination in its own right.
The hotel will feature 175 rooms, and three restaurants: the main restaurant, bar and lobby incorporating an exterior courtyard at ground level; an external terrace at 2nd floor level; and a rooftop bar and restaurant. The Hoxton, Williamsburg is also home to The Apartment, a meeting and events space.
We’ll have plenty more to share about The Hoxton, Williamsburg in the upcoming months, including details on the hotel’s grand opening. In the meantime, check out The Hoxton’s blog Hoxtown for updates and sneak peeks.
