Vail’s newest hotspot is now open, as The Remedy celebrated the Grand Opening this month inside the Four Seasons Resort & Residences Vail. With a unique and casual atmosphere coupled with an inspired menu, The Remedy is sure to be enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike. The Remedy’s innovative bar program serves spirited concoctions with a twist on classic cocktails designed to cure the effects of a long day on the mountain.
Following an extensive $2.5 million renovation, The Remedy brings a new and lively atmosphere to the hotel lobby. The Remedy’s beverage program features reimagined classics with a new take on vintage cures and tonics to remediate mountain town ailments. An Après Whiskey Cart, pushed by the “Doctor of Drinks” provides a first of its kind tableside cocktail service in Vail. Playful and inventive elixirs include “The Corpse Revives” Bloody Mary; “The Medicine Cabinet” gin cocktail, and “Hair of the Dog” vodka concoction.
In addition, The Remedy has a selection of seasonal taps of Colorado craft beer and an extensive wine list with a diverse selection of sommelier by-the-glass options. Under the direction of Executive Chef Kevin Erving, The Remedy features a seasonally inspired menu with an imaginative array of artisanal flatbreads, small bites and shareable dishes. The menu highlights locally foraged produce and Colorado meats and cheeses with clever names like “Kevin’s Bacon Pizza” with Brie and smoked bacon, or “Doctor’s Orders” smoked chicken liver paté.
A Sunday “After-Market” offering invites local farmer’s market vendors into The Remedy to sell and discuss their products, which then is highlighted on the menu as the weekly “Chef’s Bite”. In addition to “Your Daily Prescription” Happy Hour from 5-6pm each night, The Remedy also features nightly specials to nurse guests back to health after a full day on the mountain. Nightly themes include “Double Dose” Tuesday with a two-for-one deal on pints and pork belly sliders and “Mid-Week Remedy” on Wednesdays with live music and weekly contests.
Be sure to stop by next time you are in Vail to cure what ails you!
