One Month In: What I’ve Learned So Far At Turner

One Month In: What I’ve Learned So Far At Turner

Hello – I’m new here! As TURNER's digital content producer/copywriter, I’ve spent the last month getting a crash course in all things Turner. Here are a few things I’ve learned so far.

TURNER represents some incredible destinations that I need to visit immediately.

Bermuda. Maui. Austin. I’ve been getting closely acquainted from afar with these locales over the past four weeks, and they are all giving me a serious itch to travel. On a daily basis I find myself daydreaming about relaxing on Bermuda’s pink sand beaches, exploring Maui’s legendary Road to Hana and digging in to Travaasa Austin’s experiential delights. I’m ready to pack my bags and go!

Working in downtown Denver is fantastic.

Not sure if you’ve heard, but Denver is having a real “moment” right now. And nowhere is this more apparent than in downtown Denver, where the TURNER offices are located. It seems like every week there’s a cool new restaurant, brewery, or boutique opening up. There’s a very optimistic and progressive vibe in the air and it’s great to be in the heart of it all. My current favorite spot is Union Station, a historic building that’s been tastefully revamped over the past few years. It’s now packed with great places to eat, drink and hang out. There’s even shuffleboard.

Bernese Mountain Dog puppies are extremely cute.

OK, maybe I knew this one already. But hanging around office dog Wolfgang is like getting a shot of pure adorable-ness every day. I could wax poetic about the little guy, but it would probably be more effective just to show you a picture.

I should probably update my wardrobe.

I’ve been called a lot of things in my 35 years on this earth, but “stylish” is probably not one of them. Some of TURNER’s fashion forward clients like Alpha Industries and Alternative Apparel have me re-thinking my look. Do you think I could pull off wearing something like Alpha’s ridiculously cool A-2 leather pilot’s jacket?

Having a keggerator in the office is a very good idea.

Like seemingly everyone else in the great state of Colorado I love craft beer. So when I heard that TURNER’s office is home to a keggerator full of delicious beer from Denver’s own Great Divide Brewing Co., I was very pleased. I’m not saying that the keggerator is the reason I took the job here … but it didn’t hurt.
