Out of Office: Cliff Jumping & Deep-Sea Fishing in Bermuda

Out of Office: Cliff Jumping & Deep-Sea Fishing in Bermuda

Campbell Levy, Turner PR’s Director of Media Relations, took a group of journalists to sun-kissed Bermuda recently. The purpose? To show off how the island is the ultimate destination for a guys’ getaway. Mission accomplished. Here are just a few of the only-in-Bermuda activities the group was treated to:

But that was just the beginning of the group's adventures. During this visit, the standout experiences for Campbell took place on Bermuda’s sparkling turquoise waters. “One of the best ways to see Bermuda and get a handle of the scope of the island is a jet-ski tour,” Campbell says. “You can jet-ski anywhere, including some real hidden gems.” One of those hidden gems was Admiralty House Park. “This area is awesome for several reasons,” Campbell says.

  • “One: you can rock climb here. If you miss a handhold, you simply fall into the water.
  • Two: the cliff jumping may be the best anywhere on the island. The water’s deep enough that you can go almost as big as you’d like to.
  • Three: it’s home to some amazing underground caves that the British carved in the 1800s, and used to store ammo. Nowadays, the caves provide an easy way to climb back up on the rocks for cliff jumping.”

The island is also a bona fide deep-sea fishing destination, with waters filled with big game catches like marlin, tuna and wahoo. Campbell and the gang took to the seas aboard the Paradise One, a 54-foot catamaran. “The fishing was great," Campbell reports. “And then someone physically cut the fish into filets, and we had lunch right there. I’m ALL about eating what you catch.” If you and your pals are in need of a "mancation", check out this guide to the Ultimate Guys' Getaway in Bermuda.
