Introducing Linksoul: A Fresh Approach to Golf Course Style

Written by Emily Martin | January 13, 2017

“Golf is what links the flesh to the soul.” – Michael Murphy, “The Kingdom of Shivas Irons”

TURNER is thrilled to be working with Linksoul, the innovative San Diego-based golf apparel brand that’s changing the way golfers look – and feel – when they’re out on the fairways.

Here’s what you need to know.

A Soulful Approach

First things first: Linksoul thinks of itself as “more a philosophy than a brand.” And it shows in everything Linksoul does. Linksoul originates from the term “links soul”, an expression of the connection the team discovered through years playing golf. Even though Linksoul is rooted in golf, you’ll find elements of surf and outdoor adventure culture sprinkled into the overall feel of the brand’s approach. Golf is still mandatory on Fridays, though…

Exerience + Vision

Co-founded by John Ashworth and an all-star team of his family and close friends, Linksoul’s team has been immersed in men’s and women's lifestyle clothing industries (primarily golf and surfing) for decades. That deep experience adds up to apparel that combines carefree comfort and a luxury feel, with simple stylish designs that looks as good on the course as they do in everyday life.

Community Matters

It’s not just business as usual at Linksoul.  The brand is committed to creating, selling, and participating as a socially and environmentally responsible company. The Linksoul Lab in Oceanside, CA includes a design center and community event space that regularly hosts art shows, concerts, benefits, teach workshops and screen local documentaries. Additionally, Linksoul fought to save a Goat Hill Park, a municipal golf course in Oceanside, California, spending two years refurbishing it into a model for natural, accessible public golf courses across the country.
