Estes Park, CO) - As one of the most haunted hotels in the nation, the property is a haven for Hollywood haunts. In addition to serving as the inspiration for Stephen King’s “The Shining” during his stay in room 217 (one of the most spiritually active rooms), the property was also featured in several “Ghost Hunters” episodes. The Stanley even has its own on-staff paranormal investigator to monitor residual energy and serve as a concierge for the property’s permanent guests.
