How To Travel (Often)

You probably have at least one or two people in your Instagram feed who seem to always be on vacation. How do they do it? Pure Wow talked to six women who have figured out how to maximize their paid time off – and stay under budget. One key tip is to obsess over tracking flights – that way you can get relatively cheap tickets on the regular. “ Hopper lets you “watch a trip” and notifies you when the airfare changes or when it’s deemed best to buy,” Pure Wow reports. “Then, go a step further and crosscheck their ticket prices with sites like  CheapAir to save even more.” Travel savings, here we come!

Pack Like A Star

Stylist Anita Patrickson has dressed Emma Watson, Julianne Hough, Chanel Iman, Nina Dobrevn and Eiza Gonzalez, to name just a few red carpet superstars – and her job takes her all over the world. Conde Nast Traveler thought she’d be the perfect person to give readers a few packing tips. Useful takeaways: “Pack neutrals that will mix and match with everything.” “Bring a gorgeous scarf on the plane that can double as a sarong on the beach and a wrap in the evenings.” And definitely get that Ralph Lauren cashmere travel set. Hey, if it’s good enough for Emma Watson …

Hot Summer Apps

Your travel necessities aren’t necessarily things that go into your suitcase. Travel + Leisure has rounded up the 19 travel apps you’ll want to download this summer. A few that caught our eye: LoungeBuddy, which offers access to premium airport lounges for the bargain price of $25; Sworkit, offering more than 50 workouts created by personal trainers that range from five to 60 minutes; and SitOrSquat, an app has 100,000 bathrooms in its database, complete with user reviews!

Hashtag #Goals

Pics or it didn’t happen! Wherever your summer travels take you, you’re bound to take a ton of photos. But all your effort at perfect framing and filters deserves a bigger audience. The solution is hashtags. We’ve talked about not overusing them, but strategic deployment of hashtags can grow your following exponentially. Travel + Leisure has some best practices for travelers. “Don’t go for the obvious, over-used hashtags like #Travel, #Adventure, #Explore — their audience has gotten too big to compete with,” writes Stacey Leasca. “Instead, try variants on these hashtag classics to increase your chances of being spotted.”
