Get ready for a Grand Cayman experience like no other. Seafire Resort + Spa, opening November 15, 2016, is Kimpton’s first Caribbean property and the hotel group’s first foray into the luxury resort market. Located on a talcum white stretch of sand known as Seven Mile Beach, Seafire is also Grand Cayman’s first new hotel in a decade. That’s a lot of “firsts” to live up to – but Seafire delivers in every way, paying tribute to the classic Cayman vibe while introducing new innovations and elements to the mix.
The vision for Seafire Resort + Spa’s design is to evoke Grand Cayman’s past, present and future. From classic British colonial touches to technologically savvy elements, the resort’s rustic-yet-polished ambiance captivates guests at every turn. Visitors to the resort will enjoy pockets of seclusion on the property’s extensive manicured gardens, local and international art, unparalleled views of the famed Seven Mile Beach, and an array of custom furnishings. Cayman’s natural bright botanical color palette is layered upon the calm sandy weathered woods and stone throughout the resort creating rich contrasts.
Developed and designed by prolific Cayman developer Dart Real Estate with interiors harnessing the cinematic vision of the husband and wife team of Dayna Lee and Ted Berner of Los Angeles’ Powerstrip Studio and Mark Sopp of San Francisco’s SB Architects in collaboration with Ave Bradley, Kimpton’s Global SVP Design & Creative Director, Seafire is a Grand Caymanian dream come true.
Seafire’s modern Caribbean aesthetic will set the tone for future development along Seven Mile Beach and across Grand Cayman. With 266 hotel rooms, 62 condominium units and three beachfront bungalows, Seafire is a significant development that will put Grand Cayman at the forefront of resort architecture.
