Gociety: Make Summer Exciting

Gociety: Make Summer Exciting
Planning for summer can be daunting - what are you going to do and with whom will you do it? Enter Gociety, a social network for adventurers. The site/app (which is free to join) allows members to share their own outdoor skills and experiences with the rest of the Gociety community. Rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking, etc are all featured activities, and the site allows users to meet other like-minded adventurers for activities surrounding their area. While Gociety has plenty of plans to chose from, below are a few suggestions that we're looking forward to (or have already done) here in Colorado. Gociety Team Events:
  • Full Moon Climbing - Just climbing the first Flatiron would be a legendary ascent in its own right, but Gociety members have a tendency to kick things up a notch. The team is organizing a "Full-Moon" climb of the iconic boulder peak. Not sure if you can hack it? The experienced professionals from Denver Mountain Guiding will be there to offer help.
    • When: Monday, May 11th, 2015 @ 6:00 p.m.
  • Let's Ride: An evening of bikes, beer and community - Gociety is collaborating with Turin for the second year to celebrate an evening of bicycle camaraderie. The goal is to rally the Front Range bicycle community and enjoy an evening of bike movies, loads of swag, and the Lowdown Limited release of the Turin Rooster Ale. *P.S. There is a bike giveaway.
    • When: Wednesday, May 6th, 2015 @ 7:00 p.m.
User-Created Plans:
  • The Coloradothon - This plan has almost every Colorado activity wrapped into one whirlwind of a day. It starts at 5:30 AM with a 9 holes of Golf and continues to include wake-boarding, hiking, skiing, motorcycle riding, mountain bike riding and more.
    • When: Saturday, June 13th, 2015 @ 5:30 a.m.
  • World's Longest Slip'N Slide - Join fellow Gociety members and head out to Boulder for a wet and wild summer adventure. There will be music, dancing, food, drinks and, of course,  a 1000ft slip'n slide (that is 3x the length of a football field).
    • When: Saturday, July 18th, 2015 @ 10:00 a.m.
Of course, there are plenty of other activities (and locations) to choose from - check them all out here. (You have to create a free account first!)
