The Olympic Games have begun and since we cannot make it to London, we are sharing some tips to celebrate the Olympics from your office.
- Show your Olympic spirit, or your support for your home team, by decorating your office space with flags, posters and any Olympic paraphernalia that shows your spirit!
- Stay tuned with everything that is happening in London from the comfort of your desk. As we mentioned before, the 2012 Olympic Games have been named the Social Olympics, so even if you are not around a TV, you can get real-time information through the Twitter Tracker. This tool, created in partnership with NBC, will allow you to get access to all the tweets from participating athletes and their families, NBC journalists and commenters, as well as fans.
- Create mini Office Olympics! Take your lunch break and engage in some fun, competitive activities with your colleagues, such as bean bag toss.
- Have an Olympic meal together! Ask everyone to bring a dish or beverage representative of the Olympics to the office, and celebrate your successes as a team through a meal of champions.
And if you are feeling up to it, you can even organize a fun evening of Olympic events. At Turner PR we celebrated our annual summer barbeque with 80s Olympics as the theme and it was a really successful event. Here is our group picture from the event.
