NOW HIRING: Account Coordinator — Travel & Tourism, Denver

If you have a passion for the travel industry, we’ve got a job for you. TURNER is on the hunt for an Account Coordinator. This new position will be based in our Denver office, and will support PR initiatives in our travel and tourism portfolio. This is an entry-level role, but related internships or work experience are appreciated.

Account Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting coverage for travel accounts
  • Assist with implementing PR plan initiatives
  • Prepare monthly meeting agenda and materials
  • Assist with brainstorming strategic and impactful angles, initiatives and activities
  • Assist with developing professionally prepared press materials
  • Assist with developing targeted media lists
  • Assist with media pitching
  • Assist with research assignments
  • Co-plan client media tours and local market visits as needed
  • Co-plan client media FAMS as needed
  • Other tasks to support the PR team as needed

Account Coordinator Qualifications

Our ideal Account Coordinator possesses:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an epic attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
  • The ability to anticipate team and client needs and proactively assist
  • Solid project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple accounts
  • Prior experience with PR, through an internship or similar work experience
  • Proficiency in AP Style
  • Proficiency using Cision, BurrellesLuce, TrendKite and cloud-based tools
  • A proven understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • BA or BS in public relations, journalism, communications or related fields
  • A passion for travel and the ability to spot trends
