Mid-February is usually one of the bleakest times of the year. The blistering cold is coupled with the paranoia that Spring will never arrive. Adding to this is the very palpable sense of anxiety at large as we’re reminded via Hallmark and chain jewelry stores to acknowledge the love(s) in our lives.
Single or coupled off, there’s nothing wrong with getting the person you love a token of your love – even if that person is your mom or best friend. But no matter whom it is, why settle for another year …
New York’s still amidst winter’s icy grip, and even though other parts of the country are buried in two-plus feet of snow (with more on the way!), Eddie Bauer brought its Summer 2010 collection to NYC’s Astor Center. With its rustic brick interior and spacious setting, the Astor Center was the perfect locale to show off some of Eddie Bauer’s latest and greatest.
There was no gear on display but there was no shortage of product to offer the editors who braved the chill to check out the warm-weather gear. For the …
Every year when the Super Bowl comes around, only one thing comes to mind.
That’s right, charity.
Okay, so maybe you think of food and funny ads but this year charity is a focus for one of our clients, Ultimate Escapes, a leading destination club. They are currently running a really cool charitable auction: The Ultimate Escapes Haiti Relief VIP Super Bowl Package Charity Auction.
In an effort to help the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti, Ultimate Escapes’ charitable
Turner PR spent last weekend in Utah. Unlike others who visit the Beehive State, we chose to ditch the world’s biggest dinosaur footprints and visit Sundance instead. The streets were filled with sheepskin boots, artsy folk and slush. We loved every minute of our stay and look forward to doing it all over again next year.
Aside from stellar weather, random celeb sightings and brilliant films, we fancied the locals and chose to take a pic with Mustafa the moose:
In Turner PR’s Denver office, we work with hotels and real estate developments across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. In order to best paint a picture to the media about our clients’ outstanding amenities, locations and dining, we always make sure we experience it first. That means a lot of travel.
Believe me, we aren’t complaining. In fact, we’re all so passionate about travel, to us, it’s the best part of the job. But it also means long hours aboard germy airplanes and lots of eating out. And now, while …
I’m not sure how many of you read PRSA National’s blog PRSay, but I noticed something peculiar yet fascinating about it this morning. Not concerning the content itself (which is actually pretty good) but in the mechanics of the site.
As I was browsing the page, I noticed a little blurb at the bottom of each post that tells the reader how long a post will take to read. Literally – down to the second. Peep the image below:
Bazi is a Chinese word that literally translates as “8 characters.” These eight characters or elements are among the most nutrient-dense fruits available today and offer people the vitamins and minerals that they need in their everyday lives. Each fruit has a nutritional story that is amazing in its own right.
Bazi combines all eight of them into a single free radical fighting, vitamin and mineral-enriched formula.
Turner PR looks forward to educating the media and public on this positive brand and all of its inspiring stories.
On the morning of Saturday, December 5th, while many of us were cozy in our beds enjoying some downtime, members of The Surfrider Foundation and Airwalk surfer Anastasia Ashley were beginning a two-hour beach clean-up at Oahu’s Sunset Beach Park. The Airwalk-sponsored event kicked off at 10 a.m., and despite traffic delays, 50 participants showed up to give back to the environment and listen to Anastasia discuss her love for surfing and the importance of keeping coastlines pollution-free.
Every week, I scan dozens (sometimes dozens of dozens) of articles about social media and PR and, occasionally, random trends. I bookmark and forward and catalogue all of these great articles, but I haven’t been great about sharing them regularly…until now. With that introduction, we’re launching a new feature called What I’m Reading Right Now.
The Big Money Facebook 50
I’m generally intrigued by all of Slate’s lists, and one of their sub-sections, The Big Money team – which focuses on readable, approachable “money” topics – has quickly proved they …
